Because this is a rural property in the mountains, there are a few things we want you to be aware of before booking so you make an informed decision regarding whether this property is the right property for you and your guests.
Access to the Property
- Access to the property requires driving up a curvy mountain road, and driving approximately 1 mile down a level, unpaved, but well-maintained gravel road. AWD is recommended for inclement weather.
Nature is Our Neighbor
- You will likely see wildlife, including deer, foxes, turtles, squirrels, birds, and sometimes bears. Please admire them from a safe distance and never feed them.
- Insects—like ants, beetles, or the occasional spider—are part of the mountain ecosystem. We keep the house clean and treated, but you may still see a bug or two indoors.
Bears in the Area
- While bear sightings are rare, black bears do live in the surrounding woods on the mountain. While staying at Four Sisters Chalet, it is recommended to keep all food inside (i.e. not inside vehicles), secure trash in the bin provided in the garage, and never leave coolers, food, or scented items outside unattended.
Watch Your Step
- The property has stairs both inside and outside. Please use handrails where available and watch your step, especially in wet or icy conditions.
- For the mobility impaired, there are no steps required to enter the walk out basement, and a bathroom, king bed, and small living space are located on that floor.
Hot Tub Safety
- The hot tub is for guest use only. Please supervise children at all times—no one under 14 should use the hot tub without an adult present.
- For safety and cleanliness, please shower before entering, avoid glass near the tub, and replace the cover after each use.
Children & Supervision
- The mountains are full of adventure, but they also require extra attention.
- Please keep an eye on children at all times—especially near the stairs, hot tub, fire pit, and any outdoor areas.
We want you to relax, explore, and make wonderful memories—these friendly reminders help ensure our property is the right fit for your needs, and help keep everyone safe while you enjoy the beauty of the mountains.
